Hiya everyone...

There was some confusion regarding the Elias Limited Edition tube "Irene"

He has painted this interesting model several times as she is a personal friend of his...

Only the ones with blue in her hair are named "Zirconia" at PTE

But if you check out this tube at his deviant art she is named Irene aka Zirconia.

My friend Alika Scraps named this lovely kit after her according to Deviant Art.

So... we are using the kit "Totally Zirconia" with the Irene tube which it was made to match...

Gotta love fun stories!!

On with our TUT!

Materials needed:

Limited Edition Elias "IRENE tube - which is available through the end of the month at PTE
The 5 other tubes of the same Model...
Which to my knowledge are:
BlueZirconia
CyberWarrior
Irene2
Starfighter
Zirconia

PTU Scrap kit by Alika can be purchased at Twilight Scraps or any of her other stores
MuRa's Meister Filter
Vix big mask 008
Font = Grado Gradoo

Open a new Transparent Image 600 x 600 72 DPI
Select all
Copy paper03 and Paste into Selection
Apply your mask
Merge Group

Resize element as15 by 61%
Copy and Paste as a new layer on your image
(be sure to close it without saving it)
Use MuRa's Meister Copies with the following settings:
Circle
Wraparound
(Blend Mode)
Number = 10
Shift X and Y = 50
Cycle = 100
Scale = 100
All others = 0
Click ok

Copy and paste your Close Up (CU) as a new layer
Move it down below the stars frame you just made
Center the CU as desired
Erase any excess tube showing below the frame
Blend Mode = Luminance (L)
Opacity =62
Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Resize element as08 by 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer - use your pick tool to place as desired
Duplicate and use pick tool to turn sideways and place as desired
after turning element may blur - use Adjust - Sharpen to fix

Copy and paste each of your tubes
(if you have them all it should be 6)
Erase each bottom half of the tubes
Use your pick tool to place in desired spaces behind the film layer (element as08) and its duplicate
Effects - Photo Effects - Black and White Film
*Add a raster layer below the Black and white tubes
Flood fill = white
Merge the three Black and white tubes that are meant for the bottom most film strip
onto the white layer
With your Magic Wand select the inside of each of the 3 rectangles on the film strip
(HOLD down the shift key)
Modify - Expand = 2
Invert
With white layer selected - Delete
Repeat steps from * for the other film strip

Copy and paste element as 21 as a new layer - place as desired with pick tool

Copy and paste element as 60 as a new layer - place as desired and resize as needed with pick tool

Copy and Paste your main tube over the top of all other layers.
Duplicate
Adjust - Gaussian Blur = 3
Blend Mode = Soft Light
Opacity = 60

Add your credits
Add your name

Your Done! Thank you for playing!!

Halloween In Bed FTU

At Siggy Showdown we get bonus 500 charms for using the same tube in all our entries this week, this tag is for the Template Challenge. This is easy to do with Barbara Jensen's collection of layered tubes! I am making this tut with one of my entries, and I will share my others at the bottom of the tut.... so you can see how versatile the tubes are this way! Love it!

Materials:

Tube: I am using the gorgeous artwork of Barbara Jensen which you can find here the tube is PUL 7-1 "In Bed by 9". You must have a license to use her work.

Template: I am using template 141 by Punky Butts, you can find it here

Scrapkit: FTU Halloween kit by Alikas Scraps you can find here be sure to leave some love!

Fonts: Wordart = Quiff , Name=Avalon (Paid font)

Plug-ins: Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Nature

Prepare your template:

Remove the credits and word art.

Resize by 86% (this will allow the width = 600 which is usually the widest allowed in most forums)

Select two colors from one of the papers from your kit - make these a gradient

Using your Change to Target Brush - color the frames - alternate between the gradient colors in the foreground and back ground so that they are colored as desired.

Merge the Square Frames together (Make sure the layer is above the Squares)

Merge the Left and Right Squares together

Merge the Left and Right Circle Frames (make sure the layer is above the Left and Right Circles)

Merge the Left and Right Circles together

Prepare your tube:

Resize tube 90%

To help my tube match the kit I selected I have made the following layers visible:

Top Black

Bottoms Black

Shoes Violet

Hair Black

Lip Nails Black

Eyes Hazel

Stocking Black

Black Bracelet

Black Necklace

Let's get started!

Resize element as22 by 90%

Copy and paste as a new layer above the background layer

Use pick tool to move it to the left of the tag

Duplicate Flip and Mirror the layer.

On the Merged Square layer Select all Float and Defloat

Copy aspaper02 Paste into the selection

Select none

Resize element as06 by 70%

Copy and paste as a new layer - move layer above square frames

with Pick Tool move to bottom right of tag

Duplicate - flip and mirror so that the duplicate is on upper left of tag.

On the Large Circle Select all Float and Defloat

Copy aspaper03 Paste into the selection

Select none

On the Merged Circle layer Select all Float and Defloat

Copy aspaper04 Paste into the selection

Resize element as18 by 50%

Copy and paste as a new layer so that it is above the right rectangle layer.

Duplicate and mirror the element layer

Resize element as33 by 90%

Copy and paste it as a new layer so that it is the top of the entire template

Copy and paste element as13 as a new layer - erase excess

Copy merged your tube and paste her as a new layer

Adjust the last two layers to your liking.

At this point I have made my word art - using the glitter fill provided with the template (colored with my gradient), added my credits and name.

I also went back and used Gradient Glow on all frame layers, the glitter layer of my word art and to the name.

I'll be back with the results of the other challenges... And I'll Edit this post!

Edit #4 We were to use the Firefly animation in the background for one of the challenges, I am not happy with the pixellization of my set in animation so I made Barb both animated and non. :o)

Materials

Tube: I am using the artwork of Keith Garvey which is copyright Bengals1 for the commission as it is his lovely wife. You may be get your tube at PSP Party as she is an exclusive there, but you must earn her and use your assigned license. Otherwise you may find the artwork of Keith Garvey at PTE.

Filter: Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact Gradient Glow

This is just going to be a mini tut...

I will tell you some details but mostly I used parts of the scrapkit and
used my pick tool to re-size and place the elements to my liking.

Drop shadow as desired unless specified.

Elements in the order they appear from bottom to top copy and paste as a new layer (re-sized):

element 25

element 19 (2 times)

frame 4

element 34

element 3 (4 times various sizes) Merge all with

element 4 (3 times various sizes) Merged

element 31

element 32

frame 2 (rotated)

element5

element3

element 4

element 2

After placing the elements as desired duplicate the following and change the blend mode to burn on the duplicate layer(s)

All elements 3 and 4 (flowers merged and non-merged)

element 2

frame 2

Merge duplicates to the originals

*Select paper 2 - copy to clipboard

Using your magic wand - select inside the right side of the frame

Modify - expand by 3

Create a new raster layer

Paste inside selection

Select paper 3 - repeat from * for left side of frame

Merge paper layers

Duplicate and change blend mode to Burn - Merge again

Select two colors (foreground and background) and set the palette to gradient

With the merged flower layer selected paste your tube in it's original size erase body and legs

move remainder of the tube so that it is in the middle frame.

Adjust - Mirror

Duplicate the tube

Select the bottom tube layer

Modify - expand by 1

flood fill with your gradient

merge the tubes together

duplicate the tube again

move one above the frame layer

erase the bottom most portion of the top layer so that the tube appears to be coming through the frame.

With the very top layer selected

Paste your tube as a new layer again and re-size to your liking.

Duplicate

Adjust - Gaussian blur = 3

Blend mode = hard light

Add your credits

add your name as shown.

Materials:

Tube: I am using the very first Neoracer Forum Exclusive!

Scrap kit: A gorgeous FTU Scrapkit by Jessica at Gothic Inspirations called Independent Woman

Lets begin!
Select Two Colors from your tube
(I selected mine from her eyeshadow for contrast to her socks)
Make them into a gradient of your choice

Duplicate your template (shift + D)
We will be begin at the bottom
*Select layer 7 float & defloat
insert a new layer
copy and paste paper 6 into your selection
modify expand your selection by 5
with the original layer selected - flood fill with your gradient
DSB Flux - Bright noise setting at 75
Select none
NOTE: Drop shadow as desired throughout - that is personal preference
Repeat from * with layer 6
Select Layer 5 float & defloat
insert a new layer
move the layer below layer five
modify and expand by 5
flood fill with your gradient
DSB Flux same settings as before
Select none
Select Layer 4 float & defloat
Paste paper 6 inside selection
Select none
Open frame 2
Image - rotate left or right

Image resize by 55%
Copy and paste as a new layer
use your pick tool to place at the top of layer 4
Make sure it pick tool is on scale settings
pull bottom of frame so that the frame literally "frames" the layer.
Open the element called Parchment piece
Image Rotate - either direction is fine
Copy and paste as a new layer
using your pick tool place it over the top of layer 3
use the layer as a guideline to resize the parchment using the pick tool
You may delete layer 3.

Using Ol' Cowboy Font type word art as desired.
I typed Party (top) and Time (bottom)
font size 48
with a color chosen from her hair
Blend mode is Burn
Transarency of the layer is 65%
Select layer 2 float and defloat
Copy paper 7 and paste it into selection
Select none
Resize the netting element by 75%
Copy and paste it as a new layer
Adjust - Mirror and move to the left of the tag
as shown over layer 2.
Select layer 1 - float and defloat
insert a new layer
copy and paste paper 1 inside the selection
making sure you are on the original layer
modify and expand by 5
flood fill and add DSB Flux just as before
select none
Open your tube
Resize the Close up layer by 80%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Copy and paste over the newest layer made
Select the top paper layer - float defloat
Invert - and with the tube layer selected hit delete
Change settings to luminance (L)
Opacity = 50%
If needed resize full-bodied tube by 42% to get her to fit the tag
Copy and paste.
Add any other elements you'd like from the scrap kit
add your credits
Add a name and we are done!

I searched high and low for a "Steam Punk" mask and could not find one for my tag.

So I decided to write a tutorial for you and include my mask in the supplies.

Materials

Tube: I am using a Graphic Groupies exclusive tube by Elias Chatzoudis.

You must have earned the rights to use this tube from Graphic Groupies and be issued their license.

Scrap kit: I am using the gorgeous Steam Punk style kit Guarding Elias by Bello Scarto

Jay I really enjoyed your kit, and as I said it is perfect for this tube!

I bought mine at Scraps and the City here - I just love that store.

Font: Summertime I am using the TrueType version of the font.

Supplies: I have included my mask (I made today just for this tag) and my sparkle;

you can download here

If anyone is looking for a Steampunk Mask please direct them here,

but please do not share my mask.

Plug-ins: I used Alien Skin Eye Candy 5:Impact - gradient glow.

Let's get started on this very simple tut!

Open a new transparent image 72DPDI 600x600

Select all and Copy and Paste paper 9 into the selection.

Select none.

Apply your mask

merge group

Copy and paste element 5 as a new layer

move this towards the right hand corner slightly
Add a new layer
Select all Copy and paste paper 10 into selection
Select None
Using your pick tool (scale setting)-resize the paper to fit the train image under the Element
Erase the outer portion visible outside the element

Copy and paste element 1 as a new layer

move this towards the bottom left of element 5

add a drop shadow with the following settings:

Offset both Vertical and Horizontal = 0

Attributes - Opacity = 68 Blur = 18.84 Color = red

Add your tube of choice

(Note I used my pick-tool to resize my tube)

Duplicate the tube layer

with the bottom tube selected

Adjust Blur - Gaussian Blur with radius=3

add the same drop shadow as before

add the supplied sparkle layer on the top of the tube

Apply your credits

Add the name to the tag using the Summertime font

Adjust Add Noise Gaussian 23% Monochrome Checked

Apply Gradient Glow with the following settings:

Outside Glow

Mask Selection checked

Glow radius = 5.0

Soft Corners = 0

Opacity = 100

Distort = 0

Lump = 55

Smoothness = 54

Color = black

Apply the same drop shadow as before

Materials needed:
PSP Party Central Exclusive Kinky Angel tube by Lady Mishka you must have a PPC license to use this tube. You may purchase the tube in the PSP Party Shop with Party Cash earned at the forum.
PSP Party Central Exclusive Kinky Angel Scrap Kit by Myztic Designzz (Thank you Shazza!)
Vix Mask 34 You can get at her here Thank you so much Vix!
Font is a Free Font called MaryHelenJF
Filter used Alien Skin EyeCandy 5:Impact - Gradient Glow
I am using Corel X2 but any version will work.
Drop Shadow as desired - that is a personal preference.

Let's get started:
Open a new transparent image 600x600 DPI72
Open your Circle frame in your kit and resize it to 67% copy and paste it as a new layer into your new image. Duplicate 2 times. Using your Pick tool on the Scale mode resize each of the duplicates - and move them using my tag as a guide.
Open your papers of choice... I will tell you those that I used below.
For the bottom duplicate frame - using your magic wand select inside the frame modify - expand = 3, add a new layer. Copy and paste paper 2 into the selection. Deselect.
Repeat for the top duplicate frame using paper 1.
Repeat the process two times for the original frame - with Paper 8 and paper 16.
Use your eraser tool set on a grunge brush if you have one or a default brush like Marble or Smoke...
erase about half of the top-most paper layer of the large frame.
Select all on the very bottom layer (which should be blank) and paste your background paper choice into your selection. I am using paper 10.
Apply your mask.
Merge Group and Duplicate the mask and Rotate the new layer 90°.
Copy and paste the "Kinky Angel" Element to a layer above your bottom frame. Place her to the left of the frame as shown in my tag. Duplicate and move a copy below the frame. With your eraser tool (reset to normal) erase the bottom of the top element so that the frame shows. Now with your magic wand, select the inside of your frame, Modify expand = 3 and invert, with your bottom Kinky Angel selected, delete. She now looks like she is coming through the frame.

Place your medium Close Up (CU) layer below the top (small top frame) most frame. Adjust as necessary with your Pick tool (I mirrored mine). With your magic wand select inside the frame,Modify expand = 3 and invert, with your tube layer selected, delete.
Repeat (not mirrored) with the large CU for the middle frame (small bottom frame).
For the top close up change the Blend mode to Luminance(L), Opacity 72%
For the bottom most close up the Blend mode is Overlay, Opacity 69%

Use any elements you desire to further decorate your tag, remember this is your creation, be creative!
Place your full size as a new layer to the top of your creation
Add your credits to the tag and your name.

For the name I created a gradient using two colors in my tag and added noise of 20% and added the factory gradient glow.

And we are done!

Lady Mishka has started a Goth style Gallery and so I made her a tag using the dark version of her tube... The tube comes in both the Purple and the Black. :o)

America - Land That I Love FTU Forum Set

I did this for a challenge on my 4th of July, loved the ease of it and decided to write a tutorial for you.

I am using the wonderful FTU kit Land That We Love by Crystal's Creations.

I have chose to use a very lovely tube "Americana" that you must purchase and have your own license to use by Tony Tzanoukakis that is available at PSP Tubes Emporium (PTE).

Filter used is Penta Jeans

Font for name is QuigleyWiggly.

I will not tell you when to drop shadow or how as I feel that is a personal preference.

To begin open a 600w x 250h new transparent image at 72dpi and one that is 150x150.

I have selected paper 10 and paper 5 for the back ground of this set.

For the bottom most layer the following steps work for both the avi and the sig:

Copy paper 10 so that it is on your clipboard.

Select all in your tag (avi/sig)

Paste into your selection, select none

Effects - Plugins Penta Jeans

Settings:

Amount 10

Border Width 4

Prepare Paper 5 by adjusting the size so that it is 100% on my PSP I had to adjust it by 76% - Note: what ever size is indicated next to the name of the paper will be your adjustment rate.

For the Signature tag:

Select all - Modify - Contract = 6

Copy

Paste as a new layer onto your paper 5 so that the words an stars are lined up well underneath the new layer.

On the layer you just created, select all - invert

Select the paper 5 layer and click Delete

Copy this layer into your clip board close the paper without saving the changes.

Paste the copied paper into your signature as a new layer.

For Avi:

Using your Free Hand Selection tool set to Point to Point

Draw a diamond where the word America is at the center of it

Copy and paste this into your avi.

Open Element ee20

Copy and paste this into your signature

Adjust size using your pick tool and move to the left hand side of your tag

Duplicate this layer - mirror and flip it

Open Element frame ee18

resize it by 30 % for the avi copy and paste it as a new layer

undo the resize

resize it by 50 % copy and paste it as a new layer

clean up the excess from the ee20 copies that are unwanted - merge these layers

Copy your close up and paste onto your tag - resize using your pick tool

Move layer to below the frame

With your magic wand select the inside of your frame - modify - expand by 3

Invert and with the tube selected Delete

Duplicate your tube layer

Adjust - Blur- Gaussian Blur 3

Change Blend Mode to Overlay

Paste full tube as a new layer adjust size using your pick tool

Hide all other layers except for the bottom "blank" raster layer

with the tube layer selected, merge visible

this will remove any excess tube.

Duplicate the tube

Adjust - Blur- Gaussian Blur 3

Change blend mode to multiply

Add a desired Drop Shadow to the bottom layer

Merge visible

Duplicate and mirror this new layer

Unhide all other layers,

Add any other desired elements,

I don't normally brag about things but I feel it is high time I share. I am having a rough time financially ATM while waiting for SSI and I just had to renew my State Disability but to keep me from completely loosing my mind I have to keep doing what I enjoy which is tagging. For the most part I have been keeping up by entering and winning a few contests! I do not win them all, but I seem to be able to stand my ground this way. And of course by continuing my Swag Bucks earning (they now have a $10 Paypal GC available yay me!)

Some of these might look familiar as I usually will take bits and pieces of a forum challenge into my tags and use them for as many places as I can... for example the font challenge of one group and a mask from a challenge in another. But this allows me to be really creative and also meet the posting requirements of the forums.

Open clusterframe1 resize it by 75%

Copy and paste it as a new layer into your transparent image.

Duplicate the frame.

Open your tube. I resized mine all layers 40%

Copy the extreme CU and paste as a new layer and place in between your frame layers.

Erase any access from the bottom of the tube.

Erase the top of the top-most frame layer so that the head of your tube appears to be coming through the frame.

With your Bottom Raster Layer (should be empty) selected - selections select all

Paste your paper of choice into the selection. I have selected Paper 10

Select none.

Use mask of choice. I am using WSLMASK283 - Merge Group

On frame layer directly above Mask

Select with Magic wand settings = Replace contiguous and anti-alias checked

Making sure you are on your Group - Raster 1 layer

Click ok

I am using the artwork of Anna Marine, I purchased my tube while CILM was in business. You will need to purchase her art from CDO and must have a license to use her work.

I am using the kit Funky Fresh by Dreamland Designs made as an exclusive to PSP Party Central. Though it is free, you must be a member to have this kit. So come on in and join the party!

Font of choice - I used A Charming Font Expanded

Plug-ins - Eye Candy 4000 and Eyecandy 5 Impact

Animation Shop

Open a new transparent image 600x250 and a new transparent image 125x125 or 150x150 *I am making mine for PSP Party Central and the size requirement is 125x125

Copy Paper 8 and paste as a new layer in each of your new images. Merge visible on both of them (this will get rid of any excess paper).

Open paper 14 Using your crop tool, crop out only one of the pattern designs. Copy and paste as a new layer into your Avatar size image. Undo the crop on the paper. To crop the proper size for the siggy, change your canvas size so the width is 580. Crop the size you wish to have it so that is as close to centered as you can get it. My finished canvas size is 578x224. Copy and paste as a new layer into your siggy. Close and do not save changes.

Working on the Siggy:

Copy and paste your tube... I am using one with a fence in the back ground. I have pasted my tube layer with the fence and mirrored it so it is on the left side of my image, resized to my liking with my pick tool. Hide your paper layers. Add a new raster layer above the top paper and merge visible. This will get rid of the excess tube.

Copy and paste your tube (this one is the tube only) and place it to the right of your top-most paper. Hide all other layers, add a new raster layer above your other tube layer and merge visible. Change the Blend Mode to Luminance (L).

Select your top paper - float - defloat - invert and with your top tube selected hit delete.

Duplicate the tube layer 2 times, rename each layer tube 1, tube 2, tube 3.

Hide Tube 2 and 3 layers.

Using your freehand selector select the ends of the hair on your tube 1 layer. Using your Eye Candy 4000 Jiggle with the following settings:

Movement Type= Bubbles
Bubble size =41
Warp Amount = 5
Twist = 8

Leave the selection as is and repeat on each of the tube 2 and 3 layers hitting the random seed button.

Select none

With your top paper selected - Use Eycandy 5 Impact Gradient Glow with the following settings:

Settings tab= Factory

Basic tab=

Glow type = Outside
Mask slection checked
Glow Radius = 5
Soften Corners = 0
Overall Opacity = 100
Lump Size = 55
Smoothness = 54

Place any elements you'd like to use from your kit... I have use the sparkle and the white butterfly.

Add your credits and license information. For this I use Pixlette size 8 with the Anti-alias off.

Hide your tube layers 2 and 3 and copy merged and paste into Animation Shop.

Hide tube 1 layer and open tube 2 layer - copy merged and paste behind frame, hide tube 2 layer and repeat steps for tube 3 layer.

Avatar completion:

I chose not to animate my version... that would be up to you and you can use similar settings as above.

With the top most paper layer selected use Eyecandy 5 Impact Gradient Glow with the same settings as above.

Add your tube layer - resize with pick tool to your liking

Blend mode Luminance (L)

Add your copyright and license information - the TOU's for most company allow you to leave off the web addy for small images or even for PG forums so this is allowed.

Merge visible.

Note - I save my unanimated versions for future use and I add the names on last.

In order to propagate the paste in animation shop I do the following:

Type your name onto your tag. Convert to raster add DS as desired. Copy (not merged). Paste as a new animation. Hit Control "L" twice so that you have three frames (matches the frames on your tag). Control A selects and copies the new animation. Drag and drop new animation into the first frame of your tag. This propigates the paste into each frame of your tag.

We are done!

I made a second version for my friend Shelly at Graphic Groupies - for this one I used a tube by the Hunter that you can purchase at PTE.

Things you will need:

Template #9 2001 from DesignsByAli

Emo girl tube by Celine Art Pinup, you can get yours at Scraps and the City

Plug-ins = MuRa's Meister - Copies and I used Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on the name

Drop shadow as desired unless stated

Let's Do This!

Open Template and resize all layers by 75%. Change canvas size to 600x600.

Delete Raster Layer 14 - Credits layer

Select a light and dark color from your tube.

Change the settings on your pallet to a Gradient Repeat 1 time angle 221

Select Raster 9 layer - with your Change to Target Brush tool "Paint" the visible portion of this layer.

Select Raster 3 layer - repeat the painting steps above.

Select Raster 1 layer - Select all - float - defloat - flood fill with your gradient.

Select none.

Open your tube and Cut it down to where just the head down to the hands are visible.

Cut and Copy - Paste the copy as a new layer on the Template. Go back to the tube and undo.

On the Tempate Move the Tube so that it is located to the left of the Circle above raster 1 layer.

Duplicate - Mirror - move to the right of the same circle so that the eyes are above Raster 10 layer and move layer below the original.

Merge the tube layers.

Select Raster 1 layer - Select all - Float - Defloat and Invert.

Select Tube layer - delete. Select None - Duplicate.

On Duplicate layer - Gaussian Blur 3 - Change the layer Blend Mode settings to Overlay.

On Original Layer - change the layer Blend Mode settings to screen. Texture efects - Blinds with the following settings:

Width = 2
Opacity = 8
Color = Black
Horizontal and Light from left/top both checked.

Select Raster 8 - Paint the visible portions with the Change Target Brush tool

Open your tube and cut it down to where only the Kitty Skull is visible - copy and paste as a new image.

Undo the cut on your tube.

On your new kitty image to prep it - Use your selection tool to rescale it to 300%.

Using The Freehand Selection Tool - I used Point to Point but you may use Edge seeker or whatever you prefer. Holding your shift key outline the kitty. Invert and Delete the white back ground.

Copy and Paste into your template moving it above Raster 2.

Use your MuRa's Meister Filter Copies with the following settings:

(Shift Mode)

Number = 65
Shift X and Shift Y = 50
Angle, Rotation Attentation = 0
Scale = 100
Thru BG Range and Fade Out = 0
(all other setting are not usable)

Click OK

Select Raster 2 layer - Select all - Float - Defloat - Invert.

Make sure your are on your kitties layer and Delete. Select none.

Change Blend Mode to Luminance (L) and fade to 50%.

Select Raster 5 - Select All - Float - Defloat - Flood Fill with your Gradient. Adjust - Add Noise with the following settings:

Gaussian, Noise 50% Monochrome checked.

Add Your tube - resize if necessary - erase any portion below the "Emo Queen" box.

Duplicate - on the Duplicate layer Gaussion Blur same settings as before, change the blend mode to Overlay.

On Original Layer Add a Drop Shadow as desired.

Flood Fill Raster 7.

Add Your Credits and License. Add your name.

And you are finished.

Someone has accused me of stealing my name "Tonya's Treasures" from (actually a friend of mine, whom I've lost contact with mainly because of my illness') Theresa's Treasures who makes some of the most awesome scrapkits around, until last year she always called them Theresa's Scraps. I don't believe this name change was in anyway trying to harm me or my reputation, so I never said a word... it doesn't bother me that someone else thinks of their works as "Treasures". That being said, to have someone accuse me of stealing her name is wrong... and couldn't be further from the truth. I am so angry and hurt right now it is not even funny.

So I figured I would break out the proof... I have attached a print screen of the file name and date in which it was created. Keep in mind that before this I had a brush, which I no longer use so I no longer have the file to show you. But the thing is, my accuser is wrong! WOW there are some people out there who really need to get a life and grow up!

I love all of Juicy's kits... and I am so glad I get her e-mails announcing what's new at the store. I knew right away that I wanted to tut the Snow Drift kit so I bought it, because I have been severely lacking in the CT department and didn't want to ask for it, just in case I didn't feel up to it. LOL So, you all know I did my tut already and told her I was going to buy Rockabilly next because I was lucky and my MPT purchase was chosen for a free tube and when I saw Marco's Southern Rock Tube I new right then and there that they were perfect together. Juicy sent me the kit because she is so awesome. And I got started right away... so with in as many days, I have done two tuts! WOW I love inspiration!

So here is your tut...

I am using the art of Marco Guaglione ~~which you can find HERE, you must have a license from MPT to use his works you may purchase the tube here and request a license of your own~~. EDIT!! Effective February 7, 2011 you must purchase this tube at PSP Tubes Emporium HERE and have a PTE license to use it, unless you owned it while it was still available at MPT.

I am using the Scrap Kit Rockabilly from Juicy Bits, you may purchase it HERE.

Let's begin

I want to let you know that I will not tell you how to shadow your tags... unless it is important for an effect that is used, I feel this is a preference of the tag maker.

Open a new transparent image 600 x 600. Paste Paper 05 as a new layer. Paste Element 26 (frame). Using your pick tool position it towards the bottom of the tag in a diagnal position. Paste the Closeup (CU) provided with your tube under the frame. Mirror the image. Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy). Duplicate the CU. With the Bottom CU layer selected Use the Texture Effect Mosiac Antique. Add Noise at Settings of Gaussian 20 with Monochrome selected. Select Enhance more from the edge effects menu. Lower the opacity of the top CU layer to 70% and Merge this layer down.

With your Magic wand select the center of the frame. Modify and expand by 5. Invert selection and with the CU layer selected, press delete. DO NOT deselect, and select the paper and delete as well.

Open a ribbon of choice, I am using element 40, resize by 70% and paste as a new layer. With pick tool postion at the bottom of the frame. Duplicate this layer. Move one below your frame. With your eraser tool erase sections of the top ribbon so that it appears to wrap around the frame.

Open Element 49 and adjust the image size by 75%. Sharpen the image. Copy and paste as a new layer at the bottom. Duplicate this layer, move the duplicate to the topand resize to fit using your pick tool. Sharpen if necessary.

Open Element 28 and adjust the image size to 60%. Paste as a new layer on top of your tag, and move to the bottom left corner of the tag.

Open Element 29 and adjust the image size by 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer under Element fram 28 and center it under it. Use the Texture effect blinds set at Width =2 Opacity=23 Color=Black Horizontal checked.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Mirror the tube and place under element 28 (circle frame). Change the blend mode to Overlay.

Using your Magic Wand, select the center of the Circle frame. Modify and expand by 5. Invert selection and with the tube layer selected, press delete.

Copy and Paste your tube for the last time on the tag moving it to the right of the botom-most frame.

Select Two papers from the kit for your background Mask layers. Resize to 76% and copy and paste them as a new layer at the bottom of the tag. For each apply mask that you desire. I am using Vix Mask 349.

Decorate the tag as desired using various elements, you may use my example but you can use whatever you want!

Be sure to place your credits and license number on your tag.

I used the font dearJoe4 for the name and applied the Texture effect blinds with the same settings we used before.

My Very First Tube!!

Hi everyone, I can't wait to get a tablet, so I can draw until I am unable to any longer. I want to make unique scrap kits and more tubes! I have made my very first tube using my mouse. LOL She is a Graphic Groupies Exclusive item and you can get her free once you meet the criteria for that section of the wonderful forum which I am very proud to be a member of, thank goodness I have friends there who do not care if I am making tags or playing Farmville! LOL

So she got her start as a sketch -

And ended up as a tube!

She comes with Three Tail and Eye Layers for some variety. Come and join the fun at Graphic Groupies and work your way up to get yours!

PTU - Snow Angel

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been so long, some know that I have been diagnosed with MS along with allmy other medical conditions. What this means is without the aid of my medications there had been days when my vision has been effected by this terrible disease. With the aid of my medications, I am getting by... but with a very deep sorrow and fear that I may lose the one thing that I find most precious of my body... my vision. In order to create I must be able to see. I have decided to try to get throught this so I can bring you tuts or at the very least create some tags! LOL

That said on with our tut!!

This tutorial is written using Corel PSP X2 and animation shop. It is written for those who have a knowledge of PSP.

Materials:

I am using the art work of Steve Baier which can be found at www.UpYourArt.com HERE and must be used with a license from them.

Snow Drift scrap kit by Juicy Bits can be found at her store HERE.

Let's Go!

To begin open a new transparent image 600 x 600

Open Paper 10 of the scrap kit and resize to fit your window. Copy and Paste as a new layer into your New Image. Duplicate 3 times (if you'd like to animate your tag). With your top layer selected, Select Reflection Effects - Kaleidoscope with the following settings:

Everything zero except Number of Petals = 10

Reflect selected.

For each of the remaining layers increase the petal number by 2 (if animating).

Open Element 20 of them kit and Center the frame on the Pattern created.

Find a mask that you feel makes the best pattern for your design, I am using WSL_Mask155. Apply your mask and merge group (for each of the pattern layers you just made if animating).

Open your tube and resize if needed, I resized my tube 90%. Place as a new layer and duplicate.

With bottom tube layer selected, Adjust - Blur - Motion Blur with the settings of Angle: 245 Strength(%):76

Duplicate the motion layer. With the top layer of the motion layer selected apply Constellation filter with the below settings:

Star Size = 1.98

Size Variation = 50

Edge Star Density = 14

Overall Star Density = 25

Overdrive = 50

Twinkle Amount(%) = 75

Twinkle Rotation = 45

Background fill = Make selection Transparent

Random Seed 1

Apply Shadow as desired to your tube layer.

Resize Element 08 by 77% and place as a new layer over legs as shown in example. Sharpen if desired.

Apply any other elements you desire from the kit.

Apply Credits.

Cut any excess workspace off your tag.

If you are finished with the tag, add your name as suggested in example. I am using the font Porcelain with a gradient Glow of light Grey and Grey - I have added noise with the settings of Gaussian 20% Monochrome checked. Then I selected the Edge Effect of Enhance More add Drop Shadow as desired.

If you'd like to Animate your tag:

With the first of the layers selected, Copy Merged tag and paste as a new animation in Animation Shop. Hide that Layer and Open the next, Copy Merged and Paste after selected frame in animation shop. Repeat this with the last layer.

To Propigate Paste for the name... Complete the name as desired, Copy (not copy Merged) and paste as a new animation. Contral + "L" 2 times to make an equal amount of frames as in tag. Control "A" to select all. Paste the name in the desired place by dragging and dropping it into the first frame on the tag.

Slow the animation by Seleting all the frames (Control A) and Selecting Animation Frame Properties increase the speed to 25.

Save your animation... I use the original settings for optimization.

PTU - Special Invitation

I want to let you know that I made the CT!! I am Officially CT for Juicy Bits!! Woot! I love happy endings and wow what a great thing! So we will be doing at least one tut per month using Juicy's kits or tubes - this is awesome!

Now, on with our first official tut!

Materials Needed:

I am using an exclusive tube of Jose Cano that can only be obtained at Graphic Groupies you must meet their criteria in order to get one yourself (Hence the name of the TUT!!). He sells his tubes at MPT, if you're interested in purchasing any of his artwork.

I am using the lovely scrap kit MY JEALOUS HEART by and available at Juicy Bits Store.

LETS BEGIN!

Open a transparent image 600 x 600, DPI set to 72 as required by most tube companies.

To manipulate easier, I open everything on a new layer. Please feel free to drop shadow as you wish...

First things first, the tube is huge! Let's open, copy the tube layer and paste, resize (layer only must be checked) to 50%. At this point you may hide her or work around her, up to you.

Open the frame of your choosing from the kit, I am using Frame05. Using my pick tool I have placed this behind my tube and to the right center of our image. At this point you may wish to move your tube to the left of the frame.

Now select the layer with the Close Up (CU) from your tube file. Copy and paste as a new layer in your image (you can close your tube now) under your frame. Do not resize. Mirror your CU image. With pick tool move CU to desired place behind frame. At this point you may remove excess by selection method or by using your eraser tool. Sometimes I use the eraser tool, then I do not have to worry about any outside shadow. Once you have removed the excess, duplicate the CU layer. Select the bottom most CU layer and Adjust Blur = Gaussian Blur settings 5.00, Blend Mode = Luminence (L).

For my back ground, I have used Paper 12 and resized it to fit the opposite side of the frame using my pick tool.

I have chosen to decorate with Doodle01 and Doodle02 from the kit. Both are pasted as new layers and resized with the pick tool. Doodle01 has been mirrored.

Now to make it look as if our tube is holding the envelope -

I have selected Note01 from the kit. Resized, and turned with pick tool. Duplicate and place copy behind the tube in your layers. Hide the top most note. With your eraser tool set to 1 or 2 pixels, on your tube layer, erase part of hand around thumb that is visibly on top of the envelope (duplicate copy is below). Unhide top note, and erase the portion of the envelope on top of the thumb. It should appear that the note is in her hand and is above her knee. If a shadow is desired shadow both layers of the envelope before erasing any parts.

Add your copyright information. I like to place my copyright on my tag, it helps to prevent ripping of my tags, and it makes the information visible in any forum.

Add your name in the font of your choosing... I have selected two tones in a Gradient and I have used FB Lipgloss with a gradient glow with the following settings:

Basic tab:
Glow Width = 3.0
Softcorners = 6%
Opacity = 100%
Outside Selection checked

Color Tab:
Select Fat from list
set both color squares to black

Drop Shadow set on a separate layer, at a 100% Opacity. Drag the shadowed layer so it is off centered. Gradient Glow with the same settings above.

Save you file as you are now done!!

PTU - Sophisticated Madame

Hello everyone, I know it has been ages but juggling illness, work and family has proved to be too much for this gal. I am now in the process of being "medically retired" So this means that I may be able to write more tuts or at least play with my graphics more. LOL

So to start us off new and fresh I am using this tut as my application to join the Juicy Bits CT. Her requirements are more my speed than most others, and I believe I can handle working with her awesome kits.

Let's get started!

Materials needed:

First you will need to obtain Juicy's kit "Sophisticated" at her Juicy Bits store here

The tube I am using is the Scott Blair's beautiful "Madame Orchid" which you can purchase at MPT here. Please NEVER use stolen artwork. be sure to purchase your tube and use proper licensing.

Filters - the only plug-in used in this tut is Eye Candy Gradient Glow.

Font and Mask of choice - mine are disclosed in body of tut.

Drop Shadow as you choose, that is something that best done to suit you.

Let's do this:

Open a new transparent image 600 x 600

Open Frame 02 to use as you base for the tag. Copy and paste as a new layer to the new image.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. To make your tube appear as though it is going through the frame... duplicate it, moving the duplicate layer to below the frame. With the top layer highlighted, select your eraser tool and erase any areas that you do not want coming through. In my tag, I have erased the tubes knee and the bottom of her leg leaving only the top portion of her body.

Select the very bottom layer (should be blank raster layer) and paste your close up. In my tag I had to mirror the tube to face it the Direction of my tube and I erased much of the top of her head. Colorize this layer with these settings Hue=0 Saturation=0. Next use the Artistic Media Effects Brush strokes with the following settings -

Softness=1

Strokes:

Length=15

Density=76

Brush

Bristles=256

Width=6

Opacity=0

Lighting Angle= 311

Color=Black

For the back ground of the frame, open your paper selection, I am using paper 10. Using your crop tool, crop the paper where you might like the design in the approximate size of the frame opening. Copy and paste as a new layer and place it under your closeup. If you need to re-size to make it fit, use your pick tool set on scale and grab the corners to manipulate the paper to the size needed.

With having your bottom most layer selected in your tag (the blank one). Open Paper07 Adjust canvas size to 600x600. Copy and paste as a new layer. You may use mask of choice, but I am using Becky Mask 21, apply your mask, merge group. With your pick tool move layer towards the bottom right of the tag. Use your eraser tool and erase any excess remaining on the top left.

With having your bottom most layer selected in you tag (the blank one again). Open paper08 adjust canvas size to 600x600. Copy and paste as a new layer. Use the same mask, merge group. With your pick tool move the layer toward the upper left.

Apply any elements you desire, I myself used Flower03 and re-sized with my pick tool, and this was the only part I drop-shadowed beside the name.

For the name I used Butterfly size 120 (you must type this into the box yourself) and set the kerning to -3 for this font to look perfect (this must also be typed into the box on you tool bar). After you convert to raster layer. Make sure you use your dropper tool and select a color of choice from your tube. Use Gradient Glow with these settings: Color tab: Fat - first color box changed to the color of your choice, and black for the second box. Settings tab: Glow width=3 soft corners=0 the other settings should be left alone. Drop shadow as desired.

Add your copyright information and we are done!

I'd love to see your results! I hope to one day make a slideshow with some examples of what has been done with my tuts.

I am using the cute Kit WitchyPoo from Gina of KiKeKa Kits you can get yours at Scrappin' Brats here

Begin by Opening a a few elements of your choosing from the kit... this is a personal choice... this tutorial is only meant to be a guide, but I will tell you the ones I have chosen for the most important parts of the tut.

Open a new 600 x 600 transparent image.

In your color palette, you should choose your paper of choice (I have selected paper02) to make a pattern in your background and fill properties. In your foreground properties have a solid color from your paper selected. With your line style solid, and the width set to 7.00 draw an oval onto your image. Leave it as a vector image for now. Objects - center image on canvas.

Insert a new layer. Make your background fill properties the same color as the foreground. With your Font Selected (I am using Rapscallion size 20), hover over your oval until your see the A with the semi-circle under it. Make sure to be near the top center of your oval and type whatever Halloween saying you'd like. I chose I put a Spell on You - hence the name of the Tut.

Select a Witchypoo tube from the kit (I have chosen number 3) leaving her the regular size, use your eraser tool to erase her body to about her armpit area, and erase the Copyright from this one too. Copy and paste as a new layer on top of your Oval. On your oval layer select all - float - defloat - invert selection - modify expand by 7. Click onto your layer with your head and hit the delete button 3 times. Select none. Blend mode = Luminance (Legacy) Opacity = 55.

Back on your Oval layer Use the filter VM Natural - Starmaker at the default settings. Click OK. Using VM Natural - Sparkle with the settings of Max size=20, random seed=67 - the rest leave at default.

With the same settings - on head layer VM Natural - Sparkle.

Open up the element grass01 - paste as a new layer - use your pick tool to position it how you would like behind the oval. Duplicate the layer and mirror it. Merge the two layers.

Open both elements called Hallow Trails re-size to 64% and place them on the same side paste them as a new layer on the right side of the oval (behind the grass) Merge these layers, duplicate and mirror.

For the rest of the tag - I used various elements placed them where I saw looked good - resizing each with my pick tool (settings = Scale).

You should do the same... From here I think you should use the elements of choice.

Place your name on the tag use font of choice (I used Windsong - with a gradient using two shades in your paper). For best results save it as a .png file.

A soon as I saw this kit I new I just had to work with it! I had a couple of ideas come immediately to mind, so you may notice another tutorial using this same kit coming soon.

Font for Word art I used Impact

This tutorial was written for those with a basic knowledge of PSP. I am using PSP X2, I believe you can follow me with any earlier version.

Let's get started!

Please open a 600 x 600 transparent image - we can resize it later if needed. I will use random elements throughout the making of this tutorial... you may use the ones that I tell you I am using or others that you may prefer. The Wicked Princess even states that you may colorize the kit to your liking! Resize your first paper selection (I am using PP18) to fit 100% this was 89% for me - image canvas size to 600 x 600 copy and paste as a new layer to your image. Use your mask WSL_Mask230 on this layer. Merge group. Close original paper. Repeat resize and canvas size on second paper selection (I have chosen PP17) - with bottom raster layer selected, paste as a new layer onto your image (masked layer should be on top).

With your pick tool selected and the mode set to Perspective - open your winding road (road 2) and work with it until it appears flat. Position where desired on tag. Open up a flag element of choice from kit... I am using the white flag. Copy and paste as a new layer (notice I always do this), duplicate the layer and mirror it. Merge the two flags and use your Eyecandy Gradient Glow set to the bottom paper color - I set mine at Fat - Glow width 4.5 and soft corners 25 - draw outside selection selected.

Now lets paste our tube. To get her ready, I open only the layers I desire to use. The rest of the layers are hidden. Copy merged and paste to image. Duplicate the tube. Use Gaussian blur on your original tube layer. On the duplicate - set your blend mode to burn. Go back to original layer and add gradient glow with same settings used before. Merge your tube layers.

Now prepare various tube layers of your tube - or perhaps you'd like to use different tubes of Mr Rac's that you may own... to make your team - place random sized tubes around tag - behind your main tube and your street layer - in in front of your flags. You may have to move your layers around a bit to make this happen.

Now select random street signs and place where desired - you may use my example.

To make word art layer Font size = 28 - type out and place as shown. Add Noise with settings = random and 55%. Same gradient glow as before.

Add your license and copy right info.

Add your name with font of choice - I am using Kunstler Script

Bat's the Way PTU

Halloween is one of my very favorite celebrated days... This tutorial is not intended to offend anyone who doesn't participate in "Trick or Treating" if you choose not to participate, then please just skip this tut.

Needed Things:

I am using the awesome and much celebrated work of Ismael Rac, you may use his tubes by purchasing them at Artistic Minds Inc. (AMI) HERE

I am also using a great kit from Gina designer of KeKiKa Kits, you can purchase the kit Lil Vamp at ScrappinBratz.com HERE

You will need Animation Shop 3, I am using PSP X2, but I am sure your version will work just fine.

The font used in word art is Harrington and is a commercial font, possibly supplied on your PC or it can be purchased at Ascender Fonts HERE. The font used for the name on the tag is A Lolita Scorned and can be found at Dafont.com HERE.

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow is being used as well... (See earlier tuts for information on obtaining this and other filters.

Add drop shadows as desired.

Lets get started!

First lets prepare our tube. Open your tube - I have chosen to use TrickOrTreat_02. Select the layers of the tube that you prefer to use. I am using layers F6, S web special 3, and 6.png - Hide all other layers, Copy Merged paste as a new image onto your workspace. Minimize for later use. Unhide the copyright layer in your original tube file. Copy (not merged) and paste as a new image - Using your crop tool, cut the image to only the copyright information. Minimize for later use. Close your original tube file without saving changes.

Next we are going to prepare our flying bat - I am using bat_02 from the scrap kit supply you may work with any that you wish. Open him in PSP and resize him 50% copy and paste him into Animation Shop 3 as a new animation. Insert image effect with the following settings (as shown): Start with Animation Frame marked, Effect = compress, Deline effect - length = 0.8seconds Frames per second = 4 click ok.
Go back to PSP and out-line the bat's head with your Free Hand Selection tool, Selection-modify-expand =2. Selection-Invert click delete on keyboard. Copy and paste as a new animation. Holding down your CTRL button click the "L" on your keayboard three times to paste until you have 4 frames. Control+A to select all, holding down your mouse button, Click on the head and paste it on top of the original in the first frame. This will make his head remain, while his wings flap. Save to desk top or somewhere safe to re-open later. Save to desk top or somewhere safe to re-open later.

Now let's get onto our tag!
Open a a new transparent image 600x600. With your background and fill properties set to null, foreground color black, stroke-width set to 20 - draw an oval shape with your ellipse tool - convert to raster layer. Select a paper from your scrap kit with bats on it, I have selected paper 11, resize it so that it will be 100% on your workspace (I had to resize mine to 91% of the image). Adjust the canvas size to 600, so it will be the same size as our image. Copy and paste as a layer 4 times onto our tag. Hide all but the bottom most layer. With the bottom bat layer selected, use your pick tool to move it down to where the paper is at the top edge of your oval. Rename layer Batty 1.
Do not move the next layer above Batty 1 but rename Batty 2, move the next layer up to where the paper is moved halfway between the bottom of the layer and the bottom of the tag and rename if Batty 3. For the last bat layer move it to the bottom of the oval, and rename it Batty4.

Making sure you are on the layer with your oval, Use your magic wand tool to select the center of your oval, modify expand by 5. Selection Invert - activate each of your batty layers and click delete on your keyboard. Select none. Hide all batty layers except batty 1. :o)

Flood fill your Oval layer with a paper from your kit as a pattern. I have used paper 02 at a scale of 75 to make it look right. Close the paper.

At this point I apply my tube and resize her using the pick tool, as well as other elements that I desired from the kit. Please see my example to use the ones I did, or please pick some of your licking. I believe choosing elements is a personal thing, unless it is detrimental to the tutorial.

I have chosen to use the purple glitter as a back ground to my tag. In doing so, I have placed the glitter in the left hand corner of the tag, duplicated it, and dragged the copy to the right. Merge these two layers and duplicate the new layer, and flip the copy.

Now to make the word art - Back to the elipse tool, width set to 1, and back ground and fill property set to null. Draw an outline of the original oval, as close to the outside of it as possible. Add a new raster layer, with text tool selected, hover over edge of new oval until you see the A with the half circle under it. This will allow you to type around the oval. Type the first line, and convert the layer to a raster layer, using your pick tool move it up to allow space for your next line. Repeat the steps. Merge the two layers. Select a color from your tag, and use the filter gradient glow with the following settings: Glow width= 3.00, soft corner= 0, the other settings no need to change. On the Color tab, select Fat from the list of glow types, then select second color button - change from white to the color you selected from your tag.

Put your license info on your tag!

Now lets animate!!

Your flying bat should be open in animation shop... just waiting there. Now, you should have only the first batty layer visible, with that the case copy merged and paste into animation shop as a new animation. Unhide batty 2 and copy merged, paste into your new animation by right clicking on the title bar and selecting paste after current frame... do this for batty 3 and batty4 as well. Click into your first frame when finished making sure it is selected.

Now onto the flying bat - Edit - select all or Ctrl+A. Click on the first frame and drag to your tag, making sure your drop it to your desired location. Save animated version of your tag with out names.

We will place your name on your tag using the same method as the bat above. First, put your name on your tag in PSP - I used the font A Lolita Scorned, but you can use any font of choice, convert to raster layer and use gradient glow with both colors set the same, so that it is now solid. Copy (not merged) and paste as a new animation, I use Ctrl+L - holding down the ctrl button press L until you have 4 frames. Ctrl+A to select all, Click on the first frame and drag to your tag, making sure your drop it to your desired location. Save this version with your name included so you do not write over your original, incase you want to use it for offers or next year.

Are You Ready Christmas? (only 3 months left!!) FTU

I had wrote this tutorial for Gina to post for the Christmas in July special at Exquisite Scraps. Her Christmas in July contribution was offered as one of the daily FTU and can now be downloaded from her blog KeKiKa Kits located here. Thank you Gina for making this FTU Kit available again...

My Tube is a Keith Garvey tube you must purchase using your own license number from MPT, if you wish to use her... but you may use any tube you desire.

The font I used is Holiday Home and you may find it at here at Dafont.com.

I am using Mask WSL354 by Weescotslass you may get it here. Place in your mask folder.

I used Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow you may get that here.

Shadow as desired throughout...

Let's get started

Open a new transparent image 600 x 600 (resize later if desired).

Select a paper from the kit to use as your background, I have selected paper 9. Re-size your paper selection to 76%. Note: I always copy and paste as a new layer - you may merge as desired, I just find it easier to make slight adjustments here and there.

Load mask from Disk - merge group.

Open the branch in the scrap kit supply - re-size to 25%, paste as a new layer - duplicate. With your original branch layer selected - free rotate left 30 degrees move to upper right corner of masked layer - select copy and place about half covering the original layer. Merge the branch layers, Duplicate - Flip the copy, merge the layers - Mirror and Merge again = you now have a Wreath!

Add provided embellishments of choice to decorate your wreath as desired. Place gift boxes in front of wreath, re-size as necessary, using your pick tool.

Place your tube as a new layer in front of the gift boxes, see example. Re-size and place the poinsettias behind tube as in example. I opened the tag provided in supply, re-sized and placed at a 45 degree angle.

Place the signature name where desired using gradient glow with the following settings: glow width 3.00 soft corners 3. Opacity 100% outside selection checked colors tab: white on first box, green from tag on second.

Save as a .png file, and Enjoy!!

I really enjoyed making this tag, I had found the perfect tube for the kit.

Things you will need:

Scrap Kit ~ BootsNChaps by Natasha can be purchased at Scrappin' Brats.
My Tube ~ is a FTU tube "Shawna" by Psyco and can be had when you join his group at MTA (be patient though, the ladies have been bombarded with requests... :o)
Mask ~ WSLMask350 by Weescottslass and can be found here.
My font ~ is called KiraLynn, size 30 and can be located here.
Plug-in used ws Eye Candy 4000 and can be found here (not tested).

Let's get ready!

Open a new 600 x 600 transparent raster image. Remember to add drop shadows as you like (I think this is a personal preference, unless it is part of the design). Also, when pasting, I always paste as a new layer, merge as desired, otherwise I will tell you when I do.

From your scrap kit open and minimize in your work area all the elements and papers that you may wish to use in your tag, I will you the key elements I use.

Let's get started!

Copy and paste your first layer, I have chosen paper 1 as my bottom most layer. Resize to 87% of original. Do the same with your second paper selection, mine is paper 8. With second paper selected - select layers - load/save mask - load mask from disk - apply WSLmask350. Merge group. Using pick tool move the masked layer toward the top of your tag. Using SKD_Leather Flowers copy and paste as a new layer resize slightly (using pick tool), move to bottom left corner. Duplicate this layer - image mirror and move mirrored layer to right corner - merge these layers together.

Add your kit selections as layers behind the flowered layer. Add Tube and copyright info as needed.

In your layers select the masked layer only for placing your next layers there. Resize the element called stars to fit. Paste as a new layer, rotate (this layer only!) 180 degrees and duplicate, move one layer below the other layer (see example for placement) Merge Star layers.

Change the color settings to one in your tag before you use one of the papers using the pattern material properties to set your foreground and background. Type name in the center of the flowers. Convert to raster layer. Effects - Eye candy 4000 Gradient glow with the color from your tag selected, use the following settings:

Glow width 3.0
Soft Corners 3%
Overall Opacity 100
Draw only outside selection checked.

I have made these two tags - ok one tag; animated and non-animated. I didn't make a tutorial with it because I noticed that someone else created one yesterday, using the same template. Besides, I don't think I would make a tutorial from someone's template, it just seems wrong. So I had to make something using the template for a game...

My Very First Tutorial - PTU

First you will need bright and beautiful scrap kit from KiKeKa Kits, called "Rave Craze", you can purchase this kit at Scrapping Brats, go to her blog and see HERE.

Masks of choice - I am using the masks of Weescotslass you may find them HERE.

Font of Choice

Please make your drop shadows where you feel comfortable, I feel that they are a personal choice.

Plugins I used are:
EyeCandy4000 Gradient Glow

To begin:

Open a new 600x600 transparent raster background.

Open the selections of the kit that you think you might want to work with, I will tell you which I am using as we go.

Open 2 papers of choice, for may bottom layer I am using paper 11, resize by 85% copy and paste into your image as a new layer *this is how I do each element. Close original kit piece without saving, after each paste.

Load mask of choice - fit to layer - I am using WSL_Maks221

Merge group

Open your main tube choice, and select a color from it. Here I applied the plug-in Gradient Glow using the color from my tube. Use any setting you wish for desired effect, I used - fat, 3.00 glow width and 3% soft corners.

For my next layer I have resized, copied and pasted as above with paper 10. Load another mask of your choice but it should be a smaller one. I have used WSL_Mask 130. Merge group.

Copy and paste Rave Craze heart of choice, I have chosen heart 5.

Resize frame 8 to 75% copy and paste as a new layer. Move it as a selection to off center it (see example).

Add a new raster layer and flood fill it white, move this layer below the frame 8 layer. With magic wand, select the inside of both frames (hold shift key down to select both at the same time). Selections-invert, Selections-modify-contract 2, making sure white layer is highlighted, hit delete button on your key board. Selections - none.

Copy and paste desired tube as a layer to one of the frame sides. Duplicate your tube as a layer and move one of the layers below the frame. Hide the bottom tube - erase any sections of the top tube that you do not want to appear in front of the frame. Unhide the bottom tube, erase any layers showing out side the frame... this give the appearance that the tube is coming through the frame.

Do the same for the other side of the frame.

Place your main tube as a new layer. Decorate your tag with the elements of your choice.

Add your watermark and artists copyright information. If you are not animating your tag save it as a PNG file, this will allow it to have no back ground.
